Multiple panels and Links

In a lot of e-commerce websites, they usually show large images on the store front with some description then a link saying "browse the product" connecting to a specific category / product page. Swell have similar function however it only allows you to put an external link? But why would people link to other websites though instead of linking to a product page???

I tried to copy the slug I got from the category edit page but it allow link to any internal product page or just an internal page...

So what does Slug actually do/help in terms of website editing?

  • You can use /link/ (as example, /categories/) for internal linking👍️ This ensures the user will stay in the same browser window.

If you decide to use an external link (to your own website) like e.g. https://www.example.com/ it will open a new window for the user when they click on it.
